Indie rock from The Caymans

After playing on the bill with Blondie, Mcfly, The Stranglers, Rick Astley and The Lightning Seeds,Crowded House and The K’s in The Piece Hall summer series The Caymans released their debut singles in 2024 which drew them local acclaim, even reaching national news after a segment in The Sunday
Mirror and BBC Look North. Described as “Absolutely Brilliant” by The Libertines frontman Pete Doherty, their unique style of songwriting and imagery captures the hearts of fans worldwide.

A glossy black electric guitar with turquoise detailing and a slightly worn pickguard lies diagonally across a weathered wooden stage floor, next to a coiled neon-blue instrument cable and a bold, minimalist setlist titled “The Caymans” in thick, sans-serif lettering. Harsh white stage spotlights slash in from the top left, carving sharp highlights along the guitar’s curves and casting elongated shadows across the planks. In the deep background, blurred amp stacks and mic stands fade into darkness. Photographic realism, shot from a low, three-quarter angle with a shallow depth of field, creating a bold, high-contrast, indie rock atmosphere suitable for a homepage hero image.
A stack of well-used guitar and bass amplifiers, each marked with bright teal tape spelling “The Caymans,” towers against a dark rehearsal room wall lined with sound-absorbing foam panels. The amp faces glow with tiny orange LEDs and worn metal knobs, and a tangle of colorful cables snakes across the scuffed concrete floor. A single overhead industrial light casts a dramatic cone of cool white illumination, leaving the corners in deep shadow. Photographic realism, eye-level composition with strong vertical lines, high contrast, and gritty textures to convey a bold, loud, indie rock rehearsal vibe.

Shows

A close-up of a vinyl record labeled “The Caymans” spinning on a matte-black turntable with a brushed metal tonearm, set on a minimalist concrete surface. The record’s custom center label features bold teal and white geometric shapes, slightly blurred by the motion. Soft, warm side lighting from a desk lamp creates subtle reflections on the vinyl grooves and gentle shadows beneath the turntable. In the softly blurred background, there are stacked vinyl sleeves with abstract indie rock artwork in muted colors. Photographic realism, shot from a slightly elevated angle with shallow depth of field, giving a bold yet refined feel perfect for a discography or music section.

Tour

Catch us live with new songs, special guests, and loud guitars.

A bold concert poster mockup for “The Caymans” taped to a distressed brick wall, featuring sharp angular graphics in black, white, and vivid teal, with tour dates and venue names in clean, modern typography. The paper edges are slightly curled and wrinkled, suggesting it has weathered time and touch. Late-afternoon natural light streams in from the right, casting diagonal shadows from nearby architectural elements and emphasizing the brick texture. A few overlapping, out-of-focus posters in the background introduce layered color and depth. Photographic realism with an eye-level, straight-on composition, creating a strong, graphic, indie rock show-announcement aesthetic.

Residency

Weekly hometown sets, deep cuts, and surprise covers in an intimate club.

An empty indie rock stage at a small venue, dominated by a bold teal drum kit with “The Caymans” printed in crisp white on the bass drum head, flanked by two guitar stands holding sleek black instruments. Thick instrument cables zigzag across the dark, slightly sticky floor, glinting faintly. Overhead, moody stage lights in deep blue and purple cast beams of light through a fine haze, creating visible rays and dramatic backlighting. Photographic realism, wide-angle shot from the front row perspective, capturing the full stage with a sense of anticipation, bold energy, and raw live-show atmosphere.
A minimalist studio desk setup for “The Caymans” with a sleek laptop displaying a waveform of an indie rock track, flanked by matte-black studio monitors on either side. A compact teal audio interface with glowing LEDs sits beside a pair of closed-back headphones on a dark walnut desktop. Ambient LED strip lighting washes the wall behind in a subtle teal gradient, while a small lamp provides warm, focused light on the desk surface, creating mixed-color contrast. Photographic realism, shot from a slightly elevated angle with crisp focus, conveying a bold yet clean, modern production environment for a music or videos page.
A close-up of a handwritten songbook open on a rough wooden table, its pages filled with bold, angular lyrics and chord charts titled “The Caymans – New Indie Rock Set.” A black fountain pen rests across the crease, and a smartphone with a cracked teal case lies nearby displaying a voice memo screen. Cool, diffused daylight comes from an unseen window, softening the paper texture while casting subtle shadows along the ink strokes. Photographic realism, top-down composition with selective focus on the song title, evoking a bold, introspective, creative process suitable for a lyrics or behind-the-scenes section.
